Institut Sultan Iskandar Universiti Teknologi Malaysia recently hosted a comprehensive UAV-Based LiDAR Data Acquisition and Processing training session for 17 professionals from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). Held at B08, Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying from 15 July to 17 July 2025, and expertly led by Assoc. Prof. Sr Ts. Dr. Muhammad Zulkarnain bin Abd Rahman, the course provided an in-depth understanding of UAV-based LiDAR data acquisition and point cloud processing.
Participants gained practical knowledge in GNSS survey methods, efficient UAV-based LiDAR data planning and execution, and crucial LiDAR data pre- and post-processing techniques, including point cloud classification.
