The webinar was presented by Dr. Wan Nurul Mardiah Wan Mohd Rani, Deputy Director II of ISI and Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, who is also a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional. The session involved the issue of greenwashing, which is the practice of making false or misleading claims related to sustainability in marketing and corporate communication strategies.
The program successfully attracted participants from various backgrounds, including UTM staff and participants from government agencies, higher education institutions, the private sector, and the general public with an interest in sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
The session also included a feedback form and attendance confirmation via a specific link. For UTM participants, a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) link was also provided for official record purposes. Certificates of participation for this webinar were issued by the official National Training Week authority.
This program aligns with UTM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the aspects of sustainable industry and communities (SDG 11 & SDG 12), and strengthening a culture of continuous education in the era of green transformation.
The organization of this program reflects UTM-ISI continuous efforts in driving awareness and sustainable practices through an open educational platform for all.
